and call me a dipshit, but I just realized the damage on your car is damn near identical to the damage on mine. Car that hit you went right under you...same here. 4x4 suspension ftw in this case. Had either of us been lowered, we woulda been in real trouble.

I think that's how all of us get rearended. The girl that plowed into me wasn't paying attention at all and didn't even bother hitting her brakes. Btw....our headrests are hard as fawk!

1 teeny weeny little problem with that. You're looking for accident prevention and that won't work because air bags are after the fact. You'd need a sensor to notice oncoming traffic to make it inflate early. And if that were the case, the damn thing would be goin off all the time when ********* are tailgating you lol

Yes. Depedning on how bad the floor is they can repair it or replace it.

This bugs me mostly cause its my job. The adjuster doesn't go out to look at your car, they send an APPRAISER to inspect the damage and then report back to them. Some bigger shops/dealerships are called a Direct Repair Facility meaning a appraiser from the insurance company doesnt have to come out, the shops own appraiser looks at the damages and sends their estimate with photos to the insurance company and then gets an okay to proceed. Thing that bugs me the most is when I go to a shop ior house and they say to someone else the adjuster is here...Im not an adjuster and to top that they say well its the same thing....um not really.

Very possible considering the value of the car and what it cost for the others with similar damage to be repaired.

welcome to the club dude. I just got rear ended five days ago by a catholic seminary van... I'm getting rid of it because no one respects this car and its been hit twice now in two months. I can't afford it after losing my good job and I make ten dollars an hour working for shithole public storage in a dead end job. I'm upside down in it and probably gonna have to ruine my credit by turning it in. life sucks doesn't it?

BC has public insurance, so everyone deals with the same insurance company for basic coverage at least.

Nope.
they cant repiar that floor, they could replace it i guess, the metal is folded over ontop of eachother, crushed like paper. My trunk doesnt even close unless i slam it, and seeing as the latch isnt connectd to the floor of the trunk, theres a good chance the frame is twisted a bit.

Remember, it wasnt a dead center rear end, i was hit at an angle when she was trying to swerve to avoid me

me 2 buddy... me 2.... I never hit anyone and yet I've had the worst luck with my two SS's I can't even tell you. I'm done with it. I'm getting a piece of crap car that I don't care what happens to it. I have an L&I claim for my back going on right now and just had diagnostic surgery to find out that they want to fry and kill the nerves in my lower back. Then I got rear ended five days ago and now I'm going to tell them they can either pay my car off or accrue the 50,000+ its gonna cost for my surgery. If not they can deal with Labor and Industries lawyers and have fun with that. Hope that works.....

The trunk not closing right is probably just the latch. The striker for the trunk latch is mounted on the rear body panel and since that and the trunk floor has been damaged it just has moved. From what I see from the pictures the rear frame rails are okay, maybe bent a little on the very end but not a big issue.
