are 55 watt HIDs different than say 4k-12k's?

 

From what I understand, they are brighter but wash out some color of the light so 8Ks look like 6Ks when they are hooked up to 55W ballasts. anyone feel free to correct me if I am wrong though.

 

hmm i wouldnt really care they're gunna look cool either way :P

If you wanna see mine "Michael Ross" then go look at this blog under "Terminator." Those are the headlights I ordered.

 

The difference in the 55 watt HIDs and 35 watt HIDs, the color does get washed out on the 55 watt so 6k would look like 5k 35 watt.

Also you have to watch what you run 55 watt HIDs in because they put out alot more heat.

There is a night and day difference in light output between the two also in brightness.

Also most dont know this but if you got 35 watt 8k which look purple, and you compare to 35 watt 5k which are super white, there is a huge difference in light output on the road, this is just because of the color though. Kinda like a flash light with a different color bulb, you can always see better with the white bulb.
