Here is how it looked back in Dec 2010 when I bought it:

Back in 2011, some *******(s) keyed my car. I remember I made a thread about it here, but I doubt the pics are still available. Anyway, I went through insurance to have the car repainted. While it was at the shop, they gave me a booklet to pick out the colors. I went with a color called 'raspberry metallic.'
In the paint shop's booklet, it looked like a red-ish/deep burgundy color. Well, it didn't come out looking that way. Here's how it looked in 2011 after the paint job:

That's how it looked from 2011-2014. In January 2015, I decided I was tired of having a stock looking car. I wanted it to look better. I've seen all the pics of people's modded Cobalts here and I drooled over them regularly. I figured that even if I'm stuck with a pink looking color (one that I actually don't mind too much, to be honest), I might as well make the car look the way I want it to.
So, a couple weeks ago I bought some Plastidip cans and tried the Evo mod:

A few days later, I went further with the Plastidip:

Today, I got my Anzo black headlights from Amazon.com. I just finished installing them and wanted to share the pics:

I plan to buy some blacked out LED taillights. I also want to drop the car a bit, but my finances aren't up to par for something like that right now.
I'm aware my car is pink; I'm also aware it's normally not a good look for a straight male.
But in the end, I'm happy with the way the car is starting to look. The paint job was done poorly, so it seems in a year or two, it'll need to be redone (assuming I have the money for it), but I'd be lying if I said I don't like the look.
What do you guys think? Any criticism is fine.
BTW, before anyone gives me **** for buying the Anzo headlights instead of just painting my stockers myself, I want to add:
I daily drive this vehicle currently. I can't afford to have it sitting for a day or two so I could paint the headlights. And then you factor in the risk of me--- someone who isn't very mechanically inclined--- messing something up and having to buy new headlights anyway.. lol
I'm going to try to retrofit my old headlights. They'll be sitting in the garage collecting dust for a while anyway, so I might as well do something with them, right?
Anyway, thanks for looking!

Before I clicked this thread I was expecting some ricer body kit, graphics and lambo doors. While this colour isn't my thing I wouldn't say its terrible.... just sucks its not what you wanted and as long as you're a straight male who doesn't exit your car in skinny jeans and a messanger bag I dont think people will make assumptions lol
If I were you I'd do something about that gold bowtie lol

I actually like the gold bowtie. If you look at my rims, I kept the gold Chevy emblems there, too.
Thanks, though. I appreciate the feedback.
FWIW, the only way a car I own will ever have Lambo doors is if it came with them stock. I think my car is currently as close to rice-y as I'll ever get.
As the others have said, colour isn't my choice but if you like it that's all that matters. Car is clean so who cares. Better than cars full of stickers and useless body mods.
I would do something about that bowtie though as the others have said. Definitely sticks out for all the right reasons.
And lastly the whole, car is pink so that says something about your "preferences". I think being that we are in 2015, draconian thoughts like that can go away.

Your car so your choice. I think that the contrast with the gold and "raspberry" is just too off putting for most eyes. I'm not sure black is the best option either. Might be a colour that you could come up with that would still accent it without sticking out so badly.

Clean car, and i loke the color to be honest. Yeah it has a hint of pink but its not pink. couldnt really get the color back when you posted the dip picture. And i think the bow would look alot better plasti dipped. Anzo lights look pretty cool with your car.
I'm guessing that whoever mixed the paint did it incorrectly. There is no way it should be that off from what you originally saw in the sample. The only other thing I can think of is that the base they used was too light, giving it a much brighter finish. Likely though just someone that couldn't mix the colours properly or didn't care to do it right.
At least now you have something truly different from everyone else though.

Bummer its not too far off from the deep burgundy red color that they come in, id be so pissed off lol. Oh well jt really doesnt look too bad.
The anzo black headlights are great ive used them for years and made a bunch of retrofits using them with no issues just wax them regularly and wash them gently.
I remember your keyed thread by the way that really sucked!
