Jack saves yet another life.
So I get a phone call this past Thursday from a guy I worked with like 6 years ago whos girl friend works at the vets office we use for our zoo and he tells me he has a customer on his route that no longer wants their AKC registered, 70 pound, blue eyed, black and white 8 month old Siberian Husky. *sigh* I already have TWO of these monsters! So I figure WTF I'll go meet the dog. So I pull up and Joe meets me and then the original owner pulls up with Max. Max jumps out and is acting like a MORON! UGH! So I start to look him over while the owners try to talk to me in the best broken english they can being Koren. They tell me their one daughter is alergic to his fur and they can't keep him, well the dog looks good at first glance then I notice he's infested with TICK'S!!!!! A quick look at his teeth and I see some baby teeth that never came out and the adult teeth pushed them sideways to come in. And he's not fixed. So I tell them I'll try it with my dogs and see how it goes, also the wife has to give her blessing so Max and I go home. When we get there the wife falls in love with him, my kids love him and he's starting to show off his obediance classes as now he has a master that speeks english and he can understand the commands! Joe's girl friend Amy comes over to help get the ticks off and found 14 in total!!! ranging in size from one of the smily icons to almost an inch round! He then got 5 flee and tick bathes, a Frontline treatment, a vet visit and blood work, a new name.... DIESEL, and is doing pretty good! Its day 4 and so far so good! My other 2 dogs Siku, and Shadow are doing pretty good with him. Siku the white female has been wonderful with Diesel but Shadow my 1.5 year old male still has issues him Diesel but they're getting to be buddies. Anyway on to some pics!
DIESEL! And YES he's 70 pounds and only 8 months old!
And here's everyone!! Siku is on top, Shadow is to the right and Diesel the left.
And here's Shadow for those who didn't know.
And our first Husky, Siku.

AKC registered blue eyed and from a pet store which is where they got him, I'd have to say upwards of $600. Easily! In stores I've seen them go for $800.
Husky's actualy don't have that dog smell that so many breeds do but they shed like a ****! Well that actualy depends on the dog really. Siku sheds BIG TIME! We use a shop vac on her every week. Shadow's not too bad, like any dog I'd say. And so far Diesel hasn't had any loose fur and he was brushed and bathed repeatedly to look for more ticks. Some fur but no more then to be expected. They need either a nice size yard to play in or to walk at least 2 miles a day, they're high energy dogs! But they are without a doubt so much fun, we love em.

Sounds like my dog.....some lady pulled up to a royal farms and kicked him out of her car...he immediatly came over to the car i was in and tried to jump in so i had to let him...he was feeding off the meat on his back legs he was so skinny, he had the worst dry skin i ever seen and smelled horrible...took him to get shots and see if anyone would claim him no one did and he has been the best dog i ever had so far. luckily if it wasnt for us he would probably be dead because he is a pitbull, you kno how that works =/.

UPDATE; Vet just called the ticks tested negative for Lyme disease! Also he tested negative for heart worms or any other nasty stuff. Now he has to go back in 2 months to be tested for Lyme disease again just to be sure.
WTF?!?!??!?! How can people be so God damned ******* mean to animals that THEY choose to buy? The pets never made the owners get them! This makes me mad. Thank God someone like you was there to save his life. You should feel great about being your dogs hero.
Good Lord! Have you had him sized for a saddle yet? He's cute.

Thats pretty much how I got my Jack Russell. He was dropped off at a house near where my fiance's parents live, and the people who found him cleaned him up feed him and then asked if we wanted to take him. We couldn't say no, he pees for me a bit, I just think he had some bad experiences with males before, but he is getting better, and fatter lol.

Thanks guys.
CG, veeeerrrrry cute dogs. I see however you stole my dogs name. Shame on you.
HIV, her mouth isn't fucked up at all, I'm sure it works just fine. She's a cutie!
07, GOOD FOR YOU! Rescued animals always seem nicer. Its like they know you saved them and they're thankful for it.
Lightning, he needs a barrel of rum for his coller and a saddle. Any more recent pics?
