What version of linux did you use? I run some games on mine now and everything runs fine. I would think gamers would use an OS that runs faster on less specs? I know it can be a pain in the ass for some games to run on linux but allot of the big titles work fine.

I like ones that you can boot directly from the disk, especially on units needing work that may be bust as far as the HDD goes.
I like NOT having to jump through hoops to get things to work, so I'm fine with Vista/XP for my gaming needs...which are minimal as is, just Valve, the Sims 3, and a few Strategy games.
Fedora Core, Ubuntu, Mint to name a few.

We really need a tech section so we can discuss these things in a designated place..
