Just finished my Eyelids....
Yup let me do that real quick, thanks for the idea
I thought they looked good but you always gotta have a 2nd opinion! Thanks again
I didnt follow a How-To I just did it the way I thought it should have been done.
1st-I taped off both of the headlight w/ masking tape(headlights still on the car, so I could check that they were both even/the same)
2nd-I cleaned the surface that I was going to be painting, in this case the upper part of the headlight(I used a type of laquer thinner but soap and water will do just as good)
3rd-I sprayed one light coat of universal gloss black paint
4th-Let sit(dry) for 10 minutes(I sped up the process w/ a hairdryer
)
5th-After you have let the 1st coat dry spray another(thicker) coat of paint, then repeat #4
6th-Do a final thick coat of paint and make sure everything is good and covered, remembering to do long strokes from one end of the light to the other, then repeat #4
7th-Repeat steps 4-5 except use Clear!
Then let it sit overnight and your done

very nice! on thursday i'm going to paint the inside of my lights black and leave a chrome bezel around the lights.
I have an idea tho about the eyelids...
when painting the eyelids, would painting them inside the lense vs. on the outside provide a cleaner look? also if you do it this way it would look more uniform as far as texture and sheen on the outside of the lamp.
If it works, just remember it was my awesome idea

use a fine line painters tape to prevent the paint from chipping as you peel the tape off and to give a smooth transition to the non painted surface. as far as straight line goes. Its a measure twice, cut once kind of deal.

Im pretty sure laquer thinner or gas will take this right off. It did when I used NightShades Spray Tint so it should work on this too, and no it will not fog up your lense! The only thing im not sure about is it taking off the ClearCoat...
