5% back quarters and rear window.... and there's a vinyl strip over the dots. Price was $190 + GST, which I didn't think was too bad. Law says no tint on the fronts here - the guy immediately shut me down when I asked for a mere 50% on the fronts. Oh well... not to mention the house I have to park in front of is owned by a cop. He's a good guy though, has helped me with a bunch of ****.





It's basically the sunniest day of the year and I couldn't she **** out the back... driving at night will be a learning experience.

A rear lip is next.

It's ironic that you'll have trouble seeing out your back window, but the cops won't pull you over.
Whereas with my 35%, I should be able to see better, but would still be pulled over!...lol. WTF!

If I lived elsewhere, I would put 35% on the front by myself. And like I said it would be a slap in the face to do something illegal like that considering the stuff he's helped me with.

Looks good to me, if you have AC in that car the front windows are tinted i think around 89% very light but still adds darkness in the car.

 

If I had like 35% he probably wouldn't mention it. For example, We live in a cul-de-sac, and just within the cul-de-sac there's about 4 vehicles with illegal tint and he hasn't mentioned it.

Plus my dad said "that vehicle does not leave the garage if you blatantly break the law by tinting your front windows." As long as I live here, I guess.

Yeah the guy did a good job. I haven't really examined it up real close, but it looks good. And yup I have AC so if there's a slight tint on the front I haven't noticed it. The majority of the time while driving I have both windows down and my roof open, so maybe it's for the best I don't have the front done.

 

front is illegal here, but that doesn't stop me. On my bmw I have 5 in the back 15 in the front. That is too dark in the back for me so when I got my Cobalt I put only 15 in the back and 35 in the front. It seems that you if don't doing anything wrong you won't be pulled over. I don't think any cops will pull you over just for having tint, though if they do pull you over for any other reason and feel like being a dick they will site you for your tint. I've been pulled over (kind of) a few times and they never said anything about the tint.

 

Yeah I was debating all week between 20% and 5%... and finally went with 5. I've been with friends who have had as low as %20 on their fronts and got pulled over, and the cop didn't mention it! So I'm 99% sure I wouldn't have any problems with like 35 on the front.

 

I put 15% around. It's illegal to have it in the front but the shop did all windows for $149. Looks good I just need some vinyl for the rubber on the rear windshield

It looks weird with just the back. I'd either do all 5 or none at all. Just my opinion.
