Your setup is actually kind of close to mine except for lightened flywheel and ECU. So are you running 100% water injection right now? I am injecting 50:50 water/methanol at a rate of about 650 cc/min at full throttle. I also am running stage 2 LSJ cams from ZZP, 2.9" pulley, port matched head on exhaust side, balancer delete with 82# valve springs, 650 cc injectors but with LSJ throttle body. Are you still running 10:1 compression? Are you using 93 octane? What boost psi do you see?

Ohh alright that makes more sense. I was having a hard time figuring out why your boost was so high relative to mine with the same cams. I'm 2.2 or 2200CC. I am running L61 crank with forged 2.2 rods and pistons. I have that in an LSJ block so I could take advantage of the piston oilers and oil cooler. However I am still running the L61 head but with the ZZP S2 LSJ blower cams. Had to cut the end off of the exhaust cam to make it work.

On the truck I recently applied bed liner I decided I didn't think the coating was going to be tough enough to protect the truck railing and the top edge of the tailgate. I started looking into metal "caps" and I liked the looks of the polished stainless the best. However I plan on actually using this truck with one of those activities being cutting and hauling firewood. Many times when loading you tend to kind of toss the logs as setting them down gently takes a lot more time. And I don't think the polished stainless would look good scratched or dented up. So even though I preferred the smooth finish I think the treadplate will conceal dirt, scratchs, smears and dents better so that is what I went with.

This my "workhorse" for things around the house. It's an '86 C10 with a late 70's Camaro 350 and three speed on the floor. I plan on painting it in the spring but this past year I have been getting her drivetrain upgraded.

Yea that was the main reason I picked it up, the body is super clean which is the hardest thing to find in an old truck. After a coat of paint she will be making home depot runs in style.

Could be the air filter type.... My M62 is really loud and I have removed the left fender splash shield underneath. I don't have a loud exhaust so it is the prominent sound which I prefer.
