I could really care less if it cost $10...the car still looks amazing . Oh and btw...not real sure what you classify as "cheap" but I could really use a paycheque like yours .

I love that car. I mean, I'd never buy one, I think I'd look funny in a car that small. But it's still really sexy.

Sweet car, Though if I wanted a Lotus, I'd get an Exige. Elise body, Lightened seriously, and a V8. SICK!

There is a lotus shop in scottsdale where I used to work on like raintree in arizona. They are cool when you first catch a glimpse of em but the neon paints can give you a headache real fast.

I would LOVE to test drive that car, but would I ever buy one? No way. I'd get sick everytime I saw a Celica GTS drive by. They have the same engine and cost half as much. Too bad Lotus won't turbocharge it.

"Cheap"

Those are real cheap, and the colors they come in are rice other then the yellow. A dealer I get my 2.0 worked on has a bunch. They come in bright ass neon green and neon orange. And they cost less then a vette.

I think last time I built one it was $42,000USD base and $48,600USD loaded for a 2005 so you're pretty much bang on . I'm with most people, I wouldn't mind test driving one but I don't think I'd ever consider buying one, especially not as a daily driver. It might not be a bad toy to have though when you feel like taking a whirlwind tour down a curving stretch of road .

It's the total opposite here...that is the first one I've ever laid eyes on on the roads in my general area (those pics are in a city an hour away from me) and it's not even an Ontario plate .

I have a feeling your SRT-4 would destroy the Lotus in a straight line...you've got something like 35hp on the 2005 model if I'm not mistaken and that's if you're still stock (and it looks like in that pic you're running Mopar stage 2 ). Since it's built for handling it may be an interesting race going through a mix bends and straightaways of which Chicago has its' fair share .

his (stage 2) might but despite the HP difference the weight of the lotus is way down ..if I remmeber they are good for a 4.4 0-60 and 13.2 1/4 which would kill an SRT

**I dont know what you run with your stg 2

EDIT: :Perma they dont sell them in Canada thats why you dont see them ... they dont pass our front low speed impact test (kinda like the evo/gto ect )

Those are all over Michigan. It's like an infestation. The dealership on Woodward sells these at Auto Europe. they have my 2005 Porsche 911 Turbo I want. Looks tight, convertible and everything.

They sell the Lotus starting at I believe $75k

My boss's friend has one in a dark grey color. Pretty nice car but small as hell and I used to think my boss's S2000 was small.
