There is a blizzard hitting newfoundland right now. some places it's already dumped 40 inches since last night. winds are hitting 70mph.

There's lots of snow here up in canuck land haha

We got a bunch yesterday and last night out west here. It drifted pretty good with the winds. Nothing like Newfoundland though! That is crazy. I'd need a bigger snow blower if I was out there!

Didn't go to my 830 class this morning cause I wouldnt have been able to get off of my street. Got there for my 1130 class, none of the parking lots had been cleared and none of the side walks were cleared either (like a 2 minute walk from the parking lot to the school) what a **** off that was. If you aint going to clean **** you may as well cancel school.

On the good front I finally figured out how to turn the stupid traction control off in the sunfire I drive in the winter after it was the direct cause of me continually getting stuck.

tell me about it.. Traction control blows in the winter.. nothing like trying to get some momentum or clear some snow from under your tires to get some traction and have it bog and stop... drives me nuts in the wifes kia.

yeah the open door photos really put into perspective that the weather is not playing games.

my cobalt has not seen any extreme snow yet... i dread the day it does.

low
wide low profile tires
no traction control
too much torque
manual (slippy slippy!)
fwd

just way too many bad things...

p.s. for people wanting to turn their traction control off. many cars have a fuse for it which you can simply pull and ur good to go

Does it have an ebrake with a handle? (like not one you push with your foot?) If so you can lift it up just enough for the ebrake light to come on and not really engage the ebrake. I used to do this in my cavalier and it would disable the TC so that I could at least get rolling.
