Hahaha, Brian. You're still driving that grocery getter? lol, Looks like you've done quite a bit to it. Really looking good. BTW, It's Mike. I still have the Cobra. Got it fixed last year. That's right. I had to wait 2 years but it was worth it. I got a few things done. Nothing crazy. I'll send you some pics if you want. Hope things are going well for ya in Ontario. Shoot me a line sometime. Lates

My goal is 400 WHP, Every part of the stock electrical has been removed and rewired only what is needed to operate the engine and lights.
There is No stereo, No AC, No Heater, No Cruise. Fuel cell was replaced with a smaller tank that sits more right in the center of the car, The battery was replaced with an 11 Lb Braille Racing cell that sits front right in the fender as far front as possible. Stock injectors (100cc) have been replaced with 550cc STI injectors.
The ECU was replaced with a Haltech Sport 1000 Standalone. It is connected to.
Crank Position Sensor
Cam Position Sensor
MAP
Oil P
Fuel P
Coolant Temp
EGT
WB02 (Two Of Them)
NB02 For Final tune
4 LS1 Ignition Coils (Direct Fire)
4 Injectors (Direct Injection Fire Mode)
Wheel Speed Sensor (All Four to detect Slip)
The system allows for full control over fuel and ignition timing and feeds the Racepack IQ3 Display that has replaced the stock Speedo cluster.

It has to do with traction and the vehicle.
Some cars accelerate very very fast and others accelerate slower
So My 13.0 at 105.. and your 13.7 at 105 just means that my car was able to accelerate much much faster to make up the distance in time, but our cars hit the 1/4 mile line at the same speed...
Here..
Specifically, the "trap" is a pair or series of photoeyes usually at the finishline of a drag strip. When the first light beam in the front of trap is broken it starts a timer that stops when the light beam in the back is broken. Simple math using the time on the timer and the length of the trap is used to calculate the speed the car was traveling at when it passed through the trap.
Trap speed shouldn't be mistaken for Elapsed Time or "ET". ET is exactly what it sounds like, the time elapsed in traveling a specific distance. Usually this is a 1/4 mile drag strip but some strips are 1/8th mile. A winner on a 1/4 mile strip might not be a winner on a 1/8th mile (and vice versa) because of differences in the car's top speed and how quickly it gets to that speed.

So today I was looking at the Fuel rail. It only uses two of the mounts unlike the stock one that has 4.
I have been polishing the exterior of the manifold, but at the same time removing the mounting posts that were forged at the time of manufacture. The overall look is that they never existed. I will be able to remove two more and grind and sand them smooth to match the rest of the manifold.
The EGR and Idle step motor are gone, the VCTS is gone. The only thing that will be on the manifold is the injectors and the throttle body.
Very NAKED!
I will post pictures later today..
Here is the basic shape. Now 5 Hours of Sanding and Polish..
Final Shape, Ready for buffing..
With the Perrin fuel rail and the 550cc STI Injectors.

Dude, I think it's done.
Most of the unnecessary attachment points are gone.
So here is the wiring for the Haltech.
4 Injectors
4 Ignition Coils
Home Sensor
Trigger Sensor
Fuel Pump
Cooling Fan
IAT
Coolant Temp
Coolant Pressure
Oil Temp
Oil Pressure
Fuel Temp
Fuel Pressure
WBO2#1
WBO2#2
NBO2#1
EGT
Throttle Position Sensor
Speed Reference Sensor Front Left
Speed Reference Sensor Front Right
Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor
Idle Step Control.
Probably Didn't forget any there. I have been reading a lot.

I removed the Auto Idle Adjuster because IMO it's ****.
I have replaced it with a Haltech Controlled Unit (Not Pictured)
To prevent the car from exploding, I have covered the holes that uses to be needed with an Aluminum plate.
Believe it or not this actually took 2 Hours today..
