Ok My guess is they are hood pins? But in the wrong place and without a pin?
Do people often pop the hood and mess with ur engine? Usually they put hood pins on old cars because you open the hood from the outside of the car, allowing anyone to get into your engine. Alot of people with carbon fiber or light weight hoods put them on because the hood latch either doesnt work with the new hood, or other reasons.
I have never seen a stock car have hood pins in the middle of the hood, usually its located farther apart. What made u decide to do it?

Because it is a 2.2 I have some adjustments to make, but I am a family man so my wife and son come first. My headlights have always been off a little bit even when I bought it new.
