My CRX! (Please comment! Not for the faint of 56k)
Hello! Everyone always wonders why i am here, because of my crx in my picture. i'm not very well known, but i've owned a couple of cobalts in my lifetime!
My first one, my friend flipped it. i dont know why i let him take it out...

second one! repo'd. long story. voluntary repo.
the day i bought it! some kind of factory package.

then i turned it into this..:

custom FUNCTIONAL hood scoop...connected to my GMPP intake

now onto the good stuff. constructive criticism welcomed! compliments too. just please no WTF RICER WING or GTFO MY FORUMS NO COBALT HAVER.
91 Honda CRX Si, bought with 183k miles. off of a hippy(literally....said out of the candidates his chi was telling him that i really was supposed to have it...) for 1500 bucks. bone stock, other than the trailer hitch on the back....which i kinda liked. gave it character.

I didnt mind the red. but it was old and showing. with rust. so i decided to fix it up. i first put an ABS lip kit on it, looked pretty clean, but wasnt good enough for me. sadly , no pictures of it. white is my favorite color, and other than the JDM body, and the various mugen lips, the WINGS WEST 6 peice semi widebody kit always caught my eye. i LOVED IT. even the spoiler. plus i got it for a steal......300 bucks shipped... fiber glass.(urethane door caps)
YES i put it on myself, i wanted to learn, and boy did i learn a lot about fiberglass: ITS A BITCH, NEVER BUY IT. i tried and tried and shaved and cut and sanded, and still only got a few parts to match up, so there are some nasty body lines, but in the future if one of them cracks, i will either put the stock bumper/w lip kit back on and paint it, or buy the same body kit urethane. but again, i just wanted to learn. took me about a week to do it all alone. my friends were too scared to help. on to the transformation...


finished! yes....maaco painted my car. LOL.

Its painted to match the 06ish Lincoln Zephyrs. supposedly "single stage pearl" whatever that means. i call bs, but you can kind of see it......lol.
MY CAR IS NOT SO BAD IF YOU GIVE IT A CHANCE! to some people it may look riced out, to others it looks clean. i've heard both sides. i have a lot of people go what kind of car is that? it's refreshing.




the whole deal behind the z3 fenders is the fact that my old ones were all rusted to ****, and bondo'd, so i figured while getting new fenders, might as well get some lighter ones. these are the least outlandish styles.
the stock ones:


american racing wheels, matte bronze. looking back, i wish i would have got the sport bronze.

yes, that passenger turn signal is clear. i had amber ones, but they are cheap plastic and the tab broke off so it fell off while driving on the highway....so i had to put the nasty one back on.






it matches the roofline...it's not so bad. plus, i never see any other crxs around with it. theres one in town with the same body kit, primer black, but with a spoiler like mine just half the size.

d16a6, sohc, 108hp, 100something tq. rediculously fast transmission. i dont need vtec bitches!

exhaust sound! yes...the 4th and 5th or whatever revs are to 7k! it gets there quick though.

take off vid: it starts a little quick , but you can get the idea of how not super ridiculously loud my car is.

well what do you guys think?? a lot to look through i know. but i'm proud of it. my cobalt i/h/e ran 10.27 in the 1/8, this one with i/h/e runs 10.0, so its a decent ride!
future mods: i plan on getting a catless dp, and removing the 50 pounds of a/c i'm not using since its broken. later on this summer, if i dont buy me an mr2 like i want, then i need a new transmission. so i'm having trouble deciding weather to save up and have the engine completely rebuilt with cams/forged internals and supercharging, or skipping that, and buying a ZC engine(dohc non vtec, D series motor) with transmission for 800 bucks online. uses same mounts, and the engine itself has 30 more horsepower than my d16a6.

i love hondas but not loving yours.....at all.
you went the cheap route and it shows. i understand you did the mods yourself and probably are under a tight budget but you should have just left it stock and saved up until you do it right.
