My FR-S stanced

Hey everyone,

After being a Cobalt SS owner from July 2005 to July 2014, I traded the car in for a 2015 FR-S.

Maybe some of you remember the latest iteration of my Cobalt. I fitted it with some color matched 19" wheels and Stance coilovers. It looked good, but it wasn't exactly "stanced".

Luckily the new FR-S is a lot more conducive to the type of mods I'm currently keen on. It hardly has 5,000 miles on it, but I couldn't wait to get it sitting the way I wanted it. After doing a lot of research about fitment, I planned out the setup I wanted. And I couldn't be happier with the execution. 18x9.5 +38 Rota Grids all around, 255/35/18 tires, ST coilovers, and SPC camber bolts up front.

Do you miss having the extra power??

The FR-S/BRZ is such a nice looking ride.

If they ever STI that thing it will be such a badass ride!!

I see no real difference in "stance" between the two.

Pay attention to the offsets. That's the key to fitment.

did you check out a company called raceseng from allentown area of pa? They have something for the suspension that allows it to go lower with the factory suspension without putting any coilovers on.

Idk to me stanced is just a car with a lower ride height that looks mean. I never understood why you have to have a lot camber to call it stanced. There's camber there it's just not in your face.

Looks really good OP! I might someday even consider buying one of these myself, so long as people can figure out how to boost them reliably.

I've been considering this HT Autos lip kit, with the lip, side skirt, and rear pieces, but I'm really on the fence about it.

With your solid beam rear axle? Sure... I still like Cobalts but c'mon man lol. It might not be super clear but I've got 1.75 degrees up front and 2+ degrees in the rear. Just enough to look mean and not ridiculous.

The FR-S just reminds me of the old Toyota Celica commercials with the "Looks Fast" branding.
They look so aggressive but are so slow; GMS2 LSJ's whoop them. I could never justify that price tag for a car that can't even take a stock car that costs 1/3 of it..

A boosted one with forged internals would be mean though.

Too bad it would compete too much with the sti
