My new DD beater

Well, since being in Germany, I've bought a DD beater for a 2nd car since the cobalt won't be arriving in Germany for about 2yrs. I picked up this 1992 e36 320i sedan. Honest to god, I picked it right out of a junkyard and it needed a lot of work, but the cool thing is, I was there helping the hole time and supervised the work and I know for sure I got a good car. Picked it up for 2000 bucks. It's got a refreshed head, stock motor though, some new paint here and there where there used to be rust, deleted the electric windows since they didn't work(went to manual windows), replaced the windshield since it was cracked, got the side skirts painted.

I'd like to get some new wheels for it eventually, I need to clean it as it's dirty and I need to try to bring the old paint on the car back to life with a good shine. I'm also looking for an m3 front bumper to help make it look nicer as that's really the only stock front bumper that looks nice on the e36. The car doesn't have a lot of power, 150hp/140tq, but the gearing is really aggressive in these cars. I cruise on the autobahn to work everyday at about 100-110mph at about 5000-5500rpms.

Anyways, here it is.

In front of my house with my wife's subby.

yucky hub caps and garbage front bumper, but I'll get some nice bmw rims eventually and a m3 front bumper.

Pic of gauge cluster, yea it's EURO spec.

I could only ship one car, and I am married with 2 kids. So we shipped my wifes subaru tribeca (7 passenger suv). I put the cobalt in storage and have a 2yr contract. So I'm going to honor the contract and then I should have enough money saved up to pay for the cobalt to come over. Gonna cost about 2500 to ship the cobalt. I'm also doing more stuff to the cobalt while it's waiting to come over, like darton sleeves, porting the head out some more, custom cams, 6 puck clutch, 4.45 final drive, beefier axles.

The bmw is just going to remain stockish, just freshened up to be nice. M3 front bumper, some nice wheels, power is lacking bad, so I might throw on the individual throttle bodies from the 3.2 m3 motor (s52b32/s50b32) and do some exhaust. But that's it. It's a DD car and nothing more. I just want it to be nice and when I sell it, I'd like to sell it for more than I bought it.

Germany is great! Beautiful country. And the people here are extremely nice. The cars here are so wierd though. lol. I'm just not used to so many hatchback cars.

If I come across a m6 or 911turbo, I'll try to get a ride in it. lol.
