The new GTO

Browsing on autotrader I saw a nice black 2005 GTO with a 6 speed pop up in Jersey, so we drove up there and bought her that next day. Got her home, washed her real quick and got some shots. Already have some plans laid out.

To do list(for now)-
  • LS7 clutch
  • G-Force Level 1 Axles (good to 750hp)
  • G-Force Rear Coilover kit
  • New wheels (TBD)
  • 3.90 gears
  • Longtube headers (Kooks or SLP)

And for pictures:

When you romp on that thing, do you get a really loud clunking sound in the rear, kind of towards the passenger side rear shock?

Picked it up in Princeton. She's in her new home here in Slower Lower Delaware now.

Notice the (for now). But I plan on keeping her N/A for awhile. At least some cams, maybe new heads. I want an 11 second N/A street car to go with the Slowbalt.

No, but the morning after the long ride home, I went to drive her and got the notorious dead clutch feel. Clutch fluid was near empty. Filled her up and it felt fine. She's my third vehicle, so I'm not really driving her. Going to go to all stainless lines and a new slave cylinder.
