Hey fellas, I'm new here. I own a 2005 Premium White Pearl RSX-S, my sister's b/f owns a 4 door Cobalt and wanted me to do some research on it since he's a complete internet noob. Its been interesting reading through this site, you guys seem to have a wealth of information. I decided to sign up and post a compilation video of my car with mods and a couple kills (SRT-4,WRX) in there, also to introduce myself.

My RSX now has the newly introduced 05 Z1 Hondata reflash, I think I'm the 2nd person with the 05 flash that I know of on ClubRSX since its just been released a couple weeks ago. My car dyno'd 204 whp SAE on a dynojet with intake/header/exhaust, I have yet to get it dyno'd with the reflash but i'm expecting close to around 220 whp. Anyways there is a short clip of my car with the flash in action at the end of the video if you're curious.

Nice vid. I like what you have done with the car. RSX-s are sweet. I was looking at getting an RSX-s but it just did not preform as well as the Cobalt SS/SC. It was a really tough choice but know I have a car that no one else has in my town. Any way welcome to the site.

i just read up on the flash for the 05+'s....

all i gotta say is that its about damn time! it took long enough...nice numbers on it though...very nice...post up the numbers for it once you get it re-dynoed

ah yes, i remember you now. you're the one w/ the brembo brake kit and ssr's right? very nice. very nice ride man, and pwp pwn.

 

yeah, it took them awhile to crack it but damn, they made it better than the '02-'04 reflash. mine is only 5200-8600rpms.

 

yeah the cobalt is definitely a stronger performer out of the box, but thats what the aftermarket is for.

I'm definitely satisfied with it right now with the performance/handling upgrades.

yeah he screwed up his launch so he gave up after 3rd. The 2nd time he bogged also but not that bad, I caught him in 2nd and just walked away.

the 1st race with the SRT-4 from a stop he missed 3rd so he stopped short. everytime the SRT-4 would shift it would sound like a gunshot, because he powershifts every gear.

 

that's an extremely nice car and extremely fast for those mods. i can't believe you're that fast with just those mods. congrats and welcome.
