New Nittos-I now haz traction! (no 56k betch!)

Well, my old pirellies were beyond the point of return so I had to buy new tires. Discounttiredirect.com had some Nitto nt555's for 118 a tire for 225/40/18 which was a steal. Now on to the pictures:

Here are the bald pirellies-

The new tires once they came in-

And now the new tires mounted-

To show you how they are a tad bit wider-

My Review: The tires even after 400 miles grip better then they did the first day I got the car. Wet traction is phenomenal and dry traction is just as good. One they that I never really thought about is how much louder the Pirellies are, these are much quieter. For such a deal on all 4 tires and the quality of tire it was a sure bet. If you want an awesome tire that is cheaper in price but not in performance, I would highly recommend this tire.

I was thinking about 555's in the rear and 555r's in the front this summer.

i have avon's on three wheels and nitto on one of my wheels. I had a tire replaced under my road hazzard warranty so they put the nitto on and I am definetly looking at replacing all them to these come spring time. Anyone else go through a set of tires in a year??

I got nitto neo gens, and i'm really happy them too. Tires look way better than the stock pirellis. Good buy.

Well they have a treadware rating of 300 vs 240 I believe from the stockers. So they are better gripping and longer lasting tires (the nittos nt555s) so, unless you do burnouts all day they should last you a long time.

I don't rotate so I just blow through fronts. The pair of Azenis RT-615's I had up front this summer were probably the best I've had yet. They currently have zero tread left on them. Cant even see the pattern and are sitting in the garage waiting to be replaced in the spring.

Yea, as you could tell mine were pretty bald. Honestly, I get more traction in the rain now then I had traction on a hot summer day with my bald pirellies.

Yea you never realize how shitty your tires are until you throw the new ones on there.

Looks like the Pirellis were over inflated by the way they are worn....

Yea it does look like that, but trust me I'm always inflating them properly.
