New pictures: Field testing my new Sigma 10-20mm Lens (fast connection recommended)
Well I finally was able to take my new lens out with me to Rocky Mountain National Park.
A few weeks ago I bought a Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM, which was a bit expensive, but definitely worth it!
Heres some shots from today:




I had good weather for most of the day. I usually go just for the wild life, but today it was about the scenery. You can see a good amount of distortion in the first image. These are un-corrected.

I think I like the more dramatic appearance of the B&W one. Either way, I'm just glad I got the kind of sky I was looking for. Clouds make everything in scenery shooting.
I agree, It seemed like I lost a lot of composition/depth having the camera horizontal. For the first image, I pitched up a lot to make the sky the main focus. In the 3rd image, shooting it in landscape resulted in a major loss of depth.
