New Project
First post here. Just picked up a Cobalt off my brother and it's wooped. This is how my current car turned out.

Here's the little NA SS in its current state ha.

Lots of mold from our last flood and a leaky sun roof.

Ran it today with a new battery (and 5 mins of gargling water out the tail pipe) and the engine runs great. I'll be starting a full interior/exterior recon tomorrow minus the body damage. Hopefully will have more pics to come. I'm very excited about this car's potential with my end goal being this car is a pure corner carver at the track with minor luxuries for cruises and meets. I've been reading a lot into the stickies, but any advice from members for a first time owner is appreciated!

Yeahs theres some damage but its minor really. You can go soo many ways with these cars. You can supercharge, turbo, or stay n/a. If you go force induction you can buy kits from zzp or piece a turbo or supercharge kit together yourself as theres tons of threads regarding this. Or you could stay n/a and just do intake, exhaust and tune. Like I said it all depends on how much your willing to spend on your desired goal for your car. You came to the right site as thers alot of info so just take the time and read through as many threads as you can. Good luck.
Here's a few pics of the car after recon. Still needs to be edged with the extractor but other than that it's finished. Turned out pretty well. Did some test driving which was pretty rough. Probably new ti rods and wheel bearings. Scanned the obd and the crank sensor is throwing a code as well. Rough ride is probably an understatement, but looking forward to the finish.
