New to website
I thought I would introduce myself since I just got a Cobalt SS S/C. My name is Scott and I live in Charlotte, NC. I bought a 2006 Silver SS with just about every feature. I have been looking around on the site for a couple of days now, and have alot of things planned for the car. I will be taking pictures tonight, so hopefully I can get them up on the site. I will take pictures as I do everything. I plan on doing new upper and lower grills, taking off the bowtie and adding the SS, painting my calibers (not sure what color yet), installing an armrest, new e-brake, window tint (prob 20%), making the custom HID lights that Merc did and maybe adding eyelids. Since I got a 72 month 75000 mile warranty I am going to go with pretty much all GM parts, intake, exhaust, stage 2 kit and so on. I hope to polish my valve cover and maybe add a couple other little things to the engine. I have a new CD deck to put in the car, and might put a new sub and amp in the back. My first car had alot of audio work done, but it all got stolen, so on my last car, a 99 Prelude, I only put a little system in it not much better than what the car already had. So hopefully I can do all this, and do it all fairly fast since alot of the appearence doesnt cost much, and hopefully I can meet a couple people from around Charlotte.
Grats on your purchase Scott and welcome to
Keep us updated on your progress!
Don't know if you are aware or not, but GM Stage 2 for 2007's is currently on hold due to having a different pcm than the 05's and 06's.
P.S. Silver is also the 2nd fastest color, of course black is number 1.

Yea I knew about the 07 stage 2, but I have an 06 so i am good. I didnt want to spend the extra money for a new car, when I got this one with only 6 000 miles on it, and the person that traded it in to the dealership bought it in June. So it is as close as you can get to new. Also, after I traded in a real crappy 91 Accord that barely ran, the car only cost me 16,500. I love yelling at dealerships to get prices down, because it started at 20,000.
By the way, once you take your photos submit some to my Photo Contest:

Here are some photos of my car, it was getting kind of dark outside. The last couple pictures is of my grill that I installed. Now I need to take of the bowtie and install the SS. You can kind of see the clips I used.
