Thumbs up Official Model Building Thread

I have been building model cars for a while now and just got back into it, not much to do without a job other than look for one all damn day. Anyways, here are some of my current projects.
360 and Boss

Enzo in progress, flat black and lime ice metal flake

I still need to work on my transition lines.

Post pics if you got em...

I had so many from years ago, most of which got smashed and broken by family members. I cried.

Yeah that seems to be common here, we all did these when we were younger, now it is easier because I have much more patience.

I used to love building models. I would build them all year long, maybe 10 or 12, just to blow them up on the 4th of july with firecrackers.

That's pretty shitty. Some of those cars (planes, choppers, etc) take so many hours to get exactly right. I remember trying a couple when I was younger only to get frustrated with them.

Thank you sir. Probably 3 hours not counting the paint drying. I wish I had more patience.

Oh man I used to have a lot of those, a Jaguar XJ220, RUF Porsche slantnose and the McLaren as well, in silver, steering wheel in the middle!

Been thinking about getting back into the car thing again. Same boat, recently unemployed and with no one calling me back for interviews I have some time on my hands.

I understand completely, been out of work since the end of March. I have not been out of work since I was 14, 16 years ago. No unemployment coming in, nothing. This is some bad **** to be in right now. Building models is a distraction and the fact that I build them is good for everyone I come into contact with

Yep, this is the first time (aside from when I was in college) that I've ever not had a job since I was 12. I am getting unemployment, but I've been notified by my former employer that they're taking me to court to fight it. Yay. You ******** eliminate my position and then want to dick me over on unemployment.

I've only been off about 10 days, and I've had SOME interviews, but nothing's come out of any of them. I've been distracting myself with working on my house, doing some serious cleaning and stuff, but within the next week it's going to be spotless top to bottom, inside and out, then I'm not going to know what to do with myself.

Yeah I actually had to leave a decent position due to an unfit work environment. That is a long ass story. I feel for you man, I just hauled off and moved in with family, sold all my ****. I am trying to start everything over. I hope you get something soon, what were you doing before?

I was a research specialist in mental health. Turns out a degree in psychology doesn't get you very far. I really want to get into IT, but I can't go back to school while I'm unemployed or else I lose my unemployment.

I couldn't stand to sell my house and stuff, luckily I have a private mortgage so I don't have to worry about foreclosure. I'm sure I'll find something, it's just going to take a while.

Does this count?

I've also made some cop car replicas from my local police, they're not full model kits just modded diecasts.
