The Official Rally Yellow Thread
I don't wanna be a show stopper lol Nor would I ever put e-bay wheels on my car either. I just want something that looks nice. I'm actually gonna end up painting the stockers most likely. Anyone have a suggestion on what to us to do this at home?
Rattle can never gets completely hard like real paint does, which from my experiences actually helps it just stick on the rims pretty well and isnt as brittle as regular paint so doesnt chip as easy. But with rattle can you will always have some sort of texture in the finish, and will never get it as glossy and smooth as real paint.
I suggest rattle canning rims since it works just fine, unless you want a custom color then you need to use real paint.
I didn't ask because I figured for sure you were keeping them...
I might be interested... I might also be coming down in the spring (note I suggested a CSS.net unofficial meet at a local In & Out in another thread
How involved do you wanna get? wanna go out and purchase a paint gun? or are you gonna rattle can it? Sand your rims with 400 grit, clean them off with a good degreaser, spray your rattle can single stage color, wait for it to flash dry, then spray some protective clear coat over it.

Had a spare shift knob layin around and a bottle of color match touch up paint and got bored lol
What do you guys think? It's a work in progress right now, still have some sanding to do to level out the yellow and re-do the black again.
