Olympus SP-320...anyone know how to use?

as the title says, i have an olympus sp-320 and im just curious if anyone else does, or knows about it. i'd like to start taking much better quality pictures and such and want to learn to best settings, and settings on how to do things such as only make up-close come in focused with a blurry background. i know its the aperature but i tried every settings of aperature on the camera and all the pics came out the same. or the one where u see like the lights of the car go thru the whole pic, i know its the shutter speed, but whenever i tried it it didnt work out for w.e reason.

Try taking a picture with the lowest aperture setting, lower F/ = less depth; also zoom in as far as you can, and move back until you frame your subject, this will give you more subject/background separation.

As for dragging out lights, and causing streaking, you will need a tripod and a slow shutter speed 2 seconds or slower generally

Not the depth of field, the screen is to small.

But you should notice the light drag on your camera
