Smacked him off the line bad and he couldnt catch up. The C5 Z06 had intake and exhaust mods and runs consistent mid 12's. He wanted a look under the Cobalts hood to see what owned him...LOL

Who says a stage 2 Balt with a 2.9 pulley cant run 12's! With excellent driver technique and launching it is possible. Unfortunalty the Cobalt tripped the lights and I missed it on video, but the Z06 was .15 slower and I missed his damn time also!

No it just missed the 12's, but with better tires its a gimme. I just wanted to post the video showing that a Z06 that dyno'd 401 rwhp can be beat with a Cobalt. It raised quite a few eyebrows when it happened.

I've driven a stock c5 z06 and theres no way in hell and I really mean H E L L that a cobalt with stage 2 and a 2.9 pulley will beat that car, especially from a dig!!! Dude im sorry to say this and it hurts coming from an SS owner, but get your flaming suit on!!!!

 

Well I own a Z06 also and its far from stock engine and I can spin em shifting into 4th at the track if not careful, and a good Cobalt driver will whip a Vette whether its a Z06 or not out of the hole if the Vette even has the slightest loss of traction which damn common. Ive seen more than a handful of Z06 owners that cant get out of the hole worth a damn and have to play catch up and thats exactly why I posted that video showing how easy a Vette can lose the launch even when traction is halfway decent. You can hear the Vette was on it, didnt miss a shift and had to play catch up. You can hear the Vette shift into 4th and is still behind. He just blew the launch and I thought it was worthy of a video post. Time slip? I don't need no stinking time slip to show the Vette got owned all the way to the end with the video.

nice kill i once beat a vette but its cuz it was a young kid driving daddys car and ended up stalling it but hell i took it as a win. you did get a very nice launch too

 

Why did he have to look under the hood. Clearly anyone could know they got beat by a supercharged vehicle. I heard that whine over the V8 exhaust.

That is all they really needed to know. I do not like popping my hood around others. Never have before the Cobalt and never will.

Just their are saying they don't believe it without proof. Hell I beat a Cobalt SS S/c at the track by half a car length. You know how many people would call BS. But it was a woman driver who just got the car. She was running high 15s with a 1+ RT. I was running .6-.8RTs and low 16s. It happened just once, but I physically crossed the line first only because I had a awesome RT and she missed 3rd.

Anything is possible...just have proof...now I have to find that timeslip I threw it somewhere with the Cobalt papers lol.
