painted dash trim

So i was bored today and painted my dash trim.

Looks really good! Was the panel hard to get off and out? Did you use plastic cote paint?

no just had to pull really hard it felt like it was going to break.
I used the krylon fusion then clear coated them.

Looks awesome, I ve been thinking about doing this to mine, but have been worried that going red will look too ricey, it definitly doesnt! The only thing I ll do different is leave the center piece between the radio and hvac controls the stock color. Other than that looks freakin awesome!

Nicee.. Just paint around your gauges and it will finish it off perfectly. Somebody else on here did that and I loved it.

so u just pulled ur dash pieces out really hard adn they came out? wow...woulda thought they would break....any suggestions on how to do this...like how many coats u put on? im thinking of painting mine a green to go with my black cobalt

i only painted them to get rid of the silver flaking off a friend of mine is a painter and he is going to finish them with some pinstripping. as for the coats i dont know how many he put on i do know he cleared them with 2 coats .

I m hopefully going to get time to do this this weekend, and the gauge surround, hopefully it wont be too much red... I ll post pics when finished.

I Just traded Seats and Door inserts with my friend with Red on Black SS seats, Post pics tomorrow.. but i think if i did that.. it would be a little too much

looks good alley!! i'm thinking about doing ths same think this weekend... i'm thinking about also doing around the guages, and around the shifter (i have auto) not sure if it will be too much though...

I did mine also last summer, still holding up awesome.
go to http://www.paintscratch.com/ if you want factory colors. Mine matches the outside perfect.

It would look like **** with those painted. Try doing a photo shop, it just looks horrible. That's why I left mine silver.

Thanks. I just used paint I found that is just a HAIR off from Arrival Blue, but the closest you could get without going factory, at Wal-Mart for like $5. Took all the trim off, and FastSS06 painted them. I just helped screw them up putting the controls back in. LOL.
