post 61. READ
KUDOS to you two. First to post dyno's and I must say very respectable for just a 3.1" pulley. I can't wait to see dyno results in about a year when a bunch of people will be running 2.5/2.6" pullies. The LSJ just took a huge leap in the performance market.
oh yea, and 20psi on just a 3.1" pulley. CRAZY. You guys still on the stock boost gauge? What does it do? peg out? lol

Just looked at every post in this thread. Very nice thread, congrats to those who tired something new. If I had the cash and the time, and single. I would go this route just because I would like to stay supercharged. I'm going to miss the balt...

so how does the TVS react to being overspun? i know the m62 basically turned into a torch so im curious if the tvs will do the same thing. also is the biggest pulley spinning it in its most efficient zone?

No, the pullies currently being used aren't really putting it in it's effiency yet.
There is no telling what the tvs will do when over spun cause it will be quite some time before someone will be capable of spinning it that high usefully. lol.
The problem is that on just a 2.75, or maybe just a 2.9, it's maxing out the maf and what not.

this answer is from my knowledge, so take it more as an opinion until proven right or wrong.

basically - if you are going to run high boost in these motors you have to up the spark dewll at around 5500 rpm to redline to eliminate the spark blowout. BTW the spark does not actually blow out - rather the high pressure requires more power for the spark to jump the gap. It usually feels like a fuel cut or a really really bad misfire.

very very cool--my official new favorite thread. Subscribed. I now know what I want to do after my warranty is up in 4k more miles. (with supporting mods first, of course) May take me a couple years to save for it but damn I want that kind of power + that sound is WAY less annoying than the M62. Looks better too. Direct bolt-on or no?

I bought some slightly better quality screws and they have grooves on the sides to help finger-tighten them. They didn't need any modification, but the MAP needs redrilled so you can twist it out of the way of the blower housing
