No offense, but that 'Stang is HOTT let me know what it is, or if it's just a kit for it. either way, very nice addition for the new-retro pony. Makes me actually second guess the SS.....Nah

Oh, Gratz lol

I'm 18 and almost have the car payed off, and i worked my ass off for it too. You don't know if the kid payed for it or if his dad did, but if his dad did im somewhat on your side, b/c it doesnt teach someone anything when they are handed a $23k car, my first car was a (cough cough) 91 pickup but it was fun lol

Im 18, and my parents got me my car as a grad present, does that make me spoiled? or do i not deserve it b/c im young?? I don’t have a job at the moment to pay of a car let alone an SS, but my parents can, and they can help me w/ it. For now my parents are paying for it, but when i get a job i will.... so wait does that still make me spoiled, u don’t know whether a kid 18 or not deserves a car just b/c his/her parents buy them a car.

I mean I need a car im going to college, (and eventually work when I get one).
Ill have this car for around 10 yrs (if im lucky), so its not like its going to go to waste and im going to get another car when I feel like it.

Don’t go around calling people “a kid” or acting as if they don’t deserve b/c they are young. Being 18 doesn’t mean I don’t know the value of a dollar, or how hard work is, it doesn’t mean im to young for a fast car when I can maintain my sudden urges of speed, it doesn’t mean im to inexperience for a car (b/c trust a much better driver then a lot of people my age). Don’t go around telling anyone you don’t respect them, their car, or their parents b/c “oh he’s only 18 and his parents bought him his car, what a spoiled kid!” , all that shows is that you were raised a different way, not everyone follows your parents beliefs or yours, it just shows that you were bitter that circumstances didn’t lead you to getting a car at such a young age w/ your parents help. Not every family works that way, I was lucky enough that my parents could scrap a few $, save up, and finance the car for me.

But then again im spoiled right so my opinion doesn’t count, I haven’t earned your respect right?

yeah man tell him how it is! i'm 26 now and paying for everything on my car, and i am glad some people can afford to give those kinds of presents to their children. hell my dad had the money but he made me work for everything i own since i was 13.. that's right i had to work to buy my clothes, my cars, and just about everything lol...i got alot of experience though working with him at work on cars, and @my uncles body shop detailing cars for years... my dad made all of us work hard, he paid us a bit more than he probably should've but i've got some crazy work ethics now... i plan to do the same thing when i have kids.

but anyway congrats on the car

Yes.. I'm sure jealousy has showed it face here.

It's quite obvious from the pictures of your neighborhood that your family is very wealthy. You could fit 5 or 6 of my apartments inside one of those homes. That strikes a jealous nerve even in myself.

You also fall into that common sterotype. I'm not saying it's right to use, but I can understand the 'offensive' comments made here.

I see many 'spoiled young kids' handed fast cars from their parents and read about them crashing it in the ditch a few months later.

The only thing that really pisses me off is MY insurance goes up because of it. Young kids getting handed theses moderately expensive cars and crashing them make it more difficult for the rest of us who struggle to pay the bills to get cheaper insurance because of this.

Do all young kids handed a car fit that stereotype? Absolutely not.. but that's true with all stereotypes. They are generalizations. None of them are ever right to use, but they are used all the time. So, let's all get over it and move on with our lives.

I'm 18 and my first car was a '96 intrepid w/ around 117k on it...it was bought for me...but i been working since i was 15 1/2 and i recently bought a '99 jetta vr6 (5 spd). My parents still pay for my insurance (around $45/ month) but i still got the $211.98/ month for my car payment. It sucks when you only make $6.15/ hr at around 20 hours a week. But hey, if you got the car handed to you, its cool, just enjoy the f**k out of it! thumbs up!

not sure how anyone can think that snide remarks and idiocy showing it's face is "understandable" people just need to grow up.

but then again, humanity never ceases to amaze me because i'm stil ltrying to figure out why people drive around with meth labs in their trunks lol

Ok here's my take;

Your parents must be proud of you! Now go out and start your adult life and make them and yourself proud, so when your future child turns 18 someday you can do the same for them.
(I have a 16 yr old)

Let’s keep this clean so I don’t have to lock it or ban anyone. Bashing is not permitted here.

Don’t hate the guy because you are jealous. If someone gave you a free car, you would take it as would I. If his parents are nice and have the cash to buy him a car, good for them! I hope I can do that for my kids one day.

Point of my post? If your gonna talk out of your ass, don't post.

Nice car DanJ
