Quick teaser
I pretty sure the black is a powder coat too . Its next to impossible to get off . Ive stripped the paint off a SS/SC wheel b4 . I gotta ask though , what the hell kinda stripper did u use that allowed u to get the just the top layer off without maring up the black at all ?
Updates will have to wait till monday or so, i have a few other things i wanna put on first. The stripper i used was some citris brand from walmart. In fact when i went to strip the lip, it wouldn't do anything to the black underneath. I let it sit on the top layer for 30-60 minutes and it all just wiped off easily. I left it on the black for several hrs and had 0 bubbling of paint, and wiped the paint stripper off without doing a thing to the black undercoat. Used a wool pad to get the black off and it was a pain in the ass. Fingers hurt after one wheel thats why i quit
. This is just something cheap and temporary anyways, wouldn't recommend it to someone looking for something more proffesional as there are a few nicks and scrapes on the black spokes and is gonna be a pain in the ass to make it perfect. If you look close you can see near the spokes where there is still some black on the lip that needs to be taken off.
