I'm not a photographer but atleast I dont shoot in auto. Its an old D60 with kit lense, it's all I can afford for now.

I have no problem with constructive criticism if you remotely know what you are talking about but until you give me a reason why they "blow", I'll take your comment as serious as the **** I just took after chipotle.

Edit out the power lines and pole in the bottom photo. They are distracting as they are intersecting ur main subject.

They should have a little bit less "empty" space but if its his style and if the person he is shooting likes it then thats all that really matters. Heres a quick edit of my fav.

I prefer to show most of the background unless it's a plain back drop. It's my personal style when shooting plus I liked the location and it's colors.

Orange on sign, red reflectors across fence, shades of grass/brush. IMO the picture would look too dark with just his black car.
