yea i drove to work and when i hit the brake u couldnt see them. U can see em fine in the night tho.
So when i got home from work i sanded em down. Hopefully enough we'll see lol

i used some rc car tint spray cause i didnt want to order nightshades
i did one too many coats lol
but after sanding hopefully they will be visible now

 

Looking good. I just did an outline of my light and allowed some light through an opening. Gotta be careful with that in NC. I got pulled over 4 times when I had my tails completely dark (like yours).

i cant really sand much more without the tint being completley gone

 

i wish the cops would have something better to do like crime or drugs bust not worry about my f888ing tint. seriously are u that bored

haha, florida FTW i guess...i have never been pulled over for them. they look great. btw OP you should hit them with a coat of high gloss clearcoat. makes them look even better

 

i did put some clear coat on lol
its just i had to sand down some becuase i really had no light shining thro lol

 

haha, yeah my brake lights work perfect and shine quite a bit of light through. i have to be careful backing up though since you cant see my reverse lights. lol, i did 3 coats of VHT niteshades and 2 coats of duplicolor clear

 

looks good..those are very dark and i thought when i did mine they were dark...
but when i am up close to the car they do not look as dark as they do in the pic

so last night i sanded them down real good.
there is some red showing thro in a lot of places but if it prevents me from getting a ticket so be it lol

 

maybe the tint u used wasnt as transparent as the nightshades idk

those ares the brake lights lol... i havent gotten introuble yet, headlight and tail light blackouts are legal in NY tho, i've never had any problems w/ prior cars

 

i used nightshades myself and you can see the brake lights just fine
