i want to get a 12 next as well cuz i like nature and architecture shots too.
mine all depends on the light i have...sometimes mine is blue but sometimes, like tonight, they were really yellow/oragne.

back to the lense tho...you would completely love the lens for the photos you like to take man trust me! haha

RAW doesnt affect your WB, RAW is basically camera data with no in camera color, contrast, WB or sharpness filters applied. It could be your monitor, if that is when you are noticing a color issue.

Just make sure that you buy a lens with AF-I or AF-S autofocus system (usually digital only lens) because the D40(x) does not have a built in AF motor in the body, so older Nikkor film lens won't AF on your camera.

Thank you man..I will probalby end up saving up and buying it...want to try to get some cars that are local to me in some mags and I am sure I could do it with the 18-55 but I know I could do much more with the lens like you have.

yellowish?? i dont really see that i saw more blue when i was editing..but it is a bit underexposed i didnt like how it looked tho when i exposed it more.
