No side air bags.. all they did in the recall was put in some kind of pad

are you able to part out the trunk? looks like a corner is bent tho... if its fine and you can grab it id be willing to buy it depending on the the price

I can't do the trunk.. its done anyway though.. I have a CF trunk lid that will be for sale soon though.

Year after year, crazy wrecks on this site and people come away with only minor injuries or just bruises, and yet I still see people talking about Cobalts being unsafe. smh

I am sorry to hear about your loss I am extremely lucky to have come away from this alive..

thanks everybody! I only owed about 2800 left so insurance should be enough to pay that off and give me a decent down payment on the new SS.

One strange thing is that this happened exactly 7 years to the date from when my brother died, so with my serious lack of injury. I truly feel I had a guardian angel that night.

On a side note, when I picked up the car yesterday. I had to climb in the window (all doors were stuck closed) but reached my foot in there just enough to push in the clutch, turned the key and it started right up! Haha I even drove it up on the trailer. The car was driving at about a 45 degree angle which made it interesting LOL

We think but are not positive that the air bag actually caused my boys death by deploying and hitting him while he was at an angle to it from the side impact
