I love everything about my TVS, but a small piece of my inner ricer misses the M62 whine.

That's all the noise your M62 made? If that were the case with mine, yeah, I'd say they're about the same. I wish I still had my HD with my front straight fly-bys. My M62 was LOUD. On a good solid pull you could hear it over the radio turned up to max volume.

My TVS doesn't "whine" at all, it sounds closer to a turbo spool than it does a supercharger whine.

I really need to find my BeaveRun videos. Boyfriend was taping from the paddock overlook above the front stretch, about 50 yards away from the track, normal cars go buy, a modded MINI S goes by, then mine comes by and you hear the person to the side of him go "What the hell was that?" It was LOUD.

Best part was it was a One Lap of America driving school, so there were lots of participants and spectators. I had lots of interested parties asking what was on the car. A modded MINI isn't quiet, this guy had a smaller pulley on the M45, so it was noticeable too, he'd come by and you'd hear wheeeeeeeeeee, two seconds later I come in the frame and it's like WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE EEEEEEEEE.

I got the attention of Brock and his son, my friends still give me hell about that.

Yeah. I have a 2.2 S/C and my exhaust is loud but not near as loud as most LSJ's as I'm running a lsj exhaust mani and dp with a catback and my m62 is loud as hell. People that ride in my car always say it sounds like a little rc car lol.

I just have a GMPP exhaust (with a massive exhaust leak that we can never seem to hunt down). It never seemed that loud because the M62 would always drown it out. I switched over to the TVS and my exhaust sounds so much louder without the whine.

I'm hoping I still have it. My hard drive too a massive **** a year and a half ago, hopefully it was in the "salvageable" partition.

The M what?

Love it. Haven't had a chance to really track it since the upgrade. A little disappointed I won't be able to run it this year on E85, but I'm sure it'll still be a stout little machine even without the extra oomph.

Only thing that really worries me is the open diff. I was getting slight wheel spin in a couple corners with just an intake and exhaust on the car, it's going to be a whole new learning curve on throttle control with an extra 120whp on board.

Yeah that first one sounds like mine. I have a dyno vid of my car with the TVS, it's completely silent from outside the car, even quieter inside.

Yea both those videos i just posted were both with the M62. The one with the drag race against my buddies SS/TC is with the TVS with stock pulley.

Been boosting 25psi for over a year now, I've never heard it scream like that. Will re-watch my dyno vids, but they were taken from behind the car so you don't hear much anyway. Hopefully I'll get new BeaveRun vids this year.

This is it last Friday on the dyno. The whine is nowhere to be heard, but like I said, the camera was behind the car so all you get is exhaust (leak). Swear to God, when I get a hold of the mother effing gasket that's FUBAR'd I'm going to kill it with fire. We replaced everything we could replace. It got worse.
