Another good idea for your car is using he Stika method... =

5x5 or equivalent 25 sq in. vinyl = 7-9 hp (Depending on crookedness of sticker)

10x10 or equivalent 100 sq in. vinyl = 18-31 hp (Mainly depending on how bad it flows)

>12x12 or equivalent >144 sq in. vinyl = 50-62 hp (Doubles if not symmetrical on sides)

be proud that you have an LS...I like knowing that people can still appreciate my car even though its not a Redline.

 

The only reason I debadge my car is I find it looks cleaner,dont know about ss badges on your car though,congrats on the build-up though I had to do the samething with my vibe,you will be proud of the effort when you are done.

I Like my car! I like what i have done... I like the SS Cobalt. The LS cobalt. The LT Cobalt. That is not disputable in anyway.

I went and put the SS badges on my car. Yes call me a RICER.. CALL me a POSER, LOSER, ***, WANNABE, ETC. Go ahead. what ever makes you feel better about yourself!

I got so much **** from people when i did my 80 dollar intake, and look now how many people have picked up on it and when and did it for themselves.... I have no rhyme or reason to make you look past the SS badges, there on there, they are staying there...

The plan is to put the SS/SC wing on it. go ahead FLAME that. SS Springs as well (FLAME AWAY)

I am doing what i want to my car without any input! It looks the way it does because i want it that way. If you dont like it STFU!!!! I dont need to hear your negativity, jelousy, highschool bullshit!

You think if my EXWIFE wouldnt have left me $60,000.00 in the hole when she walked out with her boyfreind and left the baby and every unpaid bill i would have bought the LS... NO i would have gotten the SS/SC But so i couldnt i still love my LS everything about it, but i want it to be my own!!!! my style!

The friends that i have made from owning my LS support me and have helped in every aspect of this buildup! INCLUDING the badges!

Actually I agreed with your wanting to mod your car but maybe what I said came out wrong. You need to understand the situation. Your making your car out to be something it is not plain and simple. Be proud of your ride and show off what you have as a real LS. I hope you do in fact mod the crap outa the car and win shows all over the place and become the fastest car in the world. Just don't be ashamed of your car dude. Your in an enthusiast forum and everyone wants everyone else to be enthusiastic about their ride and proud of what they have. If you do not understand this then maybe another place would be best suited to you. I don't mean to sound ... mean ... but seriously dude show a bit of class and pride. In all places there are critics and of course it is up to you to decide what is best but at least understand what the critics have to say even if you do not agree or like it understanding is better than shutting out the world.

 

A couple quick things here uuuhhhh huuummm The reason I am saying don't put those on your car is b/c it's not an SS be proud with what you have I personally think it is a bigger slap in the face if you beat an evo with LT badges on the car than with SS badges, secondly you put your car on here no-one did it you did so if you don't like what people say about it go to your honda sites and find out how much of a *** you are for putting that on your car even they will make fun of you. How can anyone take you seriously when you are putting ss badges on an Lt and further more you put them IN THE WRONG PLACE! But it is your car and if you want to make everyone who sees your ridiculum ss badges that is your choice but understand this you make the whole cobalt community look retarded! Might as well take chevy emblems off and replace them with lambo stickers! Sorry about your wife leaving but the way to fix things is not to make your car look like something its not. Get used to constructive criticism we are just trying to save you some embarrasment down the road. What will you say when someone asks you in public if it is an SS. Will you say yes it is and subcumm to the lies of a ricer? Or will you say no it's not i just think it is as fast as one.
PS Sorry to burst your bubble but you are going to need a lot more work than just a turbo to knock off an evo. Look at my dyno sheet and understand that I can barely pull on an evo and i have instant 17lbs of boost your turbo will spool to a max of 8psi on stock internals there is no way on earth you could beat an evo on 8psi. 18psi that would be a different story.

 

I dont know about what youve experienced with Evos/STI's but my stage 2 and exhaust is always within (The very most) 3 cars of a Stock Evo/STI. His car when finished will be faster than mine.

Curtis, Dont let them get to ya. You have a great looking car that deserves its place right along side of mike's and jeff's and others (Mine too, if you guys would save me a spot!). Keep it up!

I personally think that after watching many people make SS clones during the past months that Ive been on this site, The SS/SC and SS/NA owners are fearful of losing there place as the fastest and nicest. They like to say (regaurdless of what the car has) that its still just an LS/LT (Neon, Honda, Mitsu, etc.) Its sad really. I personally dont give a **** what people think of the SS/SC or Cobalt in general. If they underestimate it then thats there problem, If they over estimate it then thats my good luck!

the v-6 and z28 do look differant you just have to know what your lookin for...

hint---singe exhaust VS duel Exhasut...

even if you put an after market exhasut on the v-6 it still doesnt look like a stock duel set-up

Ive heard that they do too but even if it doesn't have wheel hop now it will when it has more power.

 

I am never going to say its an SS if somone askes me. Like i said before and i guess ill state it again. I wanted the SS badges on there. And yes the 2.2 does have a wheel hop problem.
