most pontiacs have the red lights in the interior. do all the lights on the g5 light up red, like the door switches, cd player, cluster, etc? i prefer the red lights over the greenish color, and i dont want to swap out leds. thanks

Nope, only the gauges light up red. The rest of the lights like the Radio, HVAC and door switches light up the stupid greenish color. My parents Torrent all the switches and radio light up red and I really wish the G5 had them, i hate the green.

The G6 is all red

 

I changed all of the radio, hvac controls and light switches, etc, over to red by using tail lamp repair tape.

 

Yep. Most of our gauges and HVAC are the same as the Cobalt. The only ones that are red are the Tach, speedometer, and fuel gauges.

However, you can use a red color gel or brake light tape to turn the switches red... several people have done this. The only thing you cannot change the color on is the radio display (You're stuck with green unless you swap radios).

 

Actually you can change the radio colours too, however it requires completely disassembling the radio and changing the colour that way.

And the G6 is all red cause its a different car/platform and was separate from division clones (in its early years)

 

I know you can do the buttons, but I don't recall anyone finding a way to change the green display (The part that shows your song info...etc).

 

That is correct. I changed everything but the green display. That cannot be done unless you purchase a radio from a Solstice.
