do the Balt hoods fit on a G5?

i have a 2 door G5GT same car as the cobalt ss/na are hood from both cars interchangeable

Yes. The hood is an interchangeable part between the G5 and the cobalt.

i just got the rksport hood for my g5 i went to the paint shop they was just to paint it $791

 

$791 to just paint the hood???? I guess I won't be getting a new hod anytime soon...lol

Big time! I got my wife's bumper colourmatched and painted in primer/base/clear for 150$. A hood should only cost 350$ at the most - and that is for a top-notch job.

 

unless the hood came very poor, and a tone of prep work was needed did they give u brake down of cost.? im going to be upset if the hoods come that poor from the factory

 

they said that they have to blend into my fenders and all this other crap. i just want the hood painted thats it. they havent seen the hood im takeing it tomorrow to the dealer and see what they will charge me. i got another one for over 500. we will see what the dealer comes in at tomorrow.

 

well that is the truth, what color do you have. I know on my old car(a CTS) it had a metallic red tri coat paint. It was a sparkly red paint. and in order to make it match they would have to blend it into all surrounding panels if not it would stand out like sore thumb due to the flakes possible going in the wrong direction

i would assume this is not needed for a simple color like black or something

 

yea thats what i thought. the color of my car is burnt orange.
