sounds like you didn't plug something back in or you have a major vacuum leak from a line that didn't get plugged back in.

first. calm down.

next unplug ur battery for 15 min and try again.

then look over everything carefully and make sure all vacuum and electrical connections are secure. take the TB connection off and make sure non of the pins are bent.

well since I don't have a 2.4 I can only guess that there should be a maf sensor and maybe the throttle controll sensor, are they throttlle bodies fly by wire on 2.4s?

Did did you remove the butterfly? It has very tight tolerances and if you don't line it up just right it will snag for a second and send the car into limp mode.

The center piece inside the TB that move to let the air in.

Yeah, you're ok. Just calm down, take the throttle body back off, make sure everything is clean and make sure it's plugged into the harness good, reinstall it carefully and you should be fine. Unplug battery for 15 mins wouldn't hurt either.

no i didnt remove the butterfly

i really didnt remove anything thats why i dont understand what went wrong

i took it back off and i took the little chrome clamps off the black thing again and noticed the orange i guess its a type of o-ring or something... but anyways, the orange thing wasnt around the edge, it was actually up in , so i worked it back to the edges and put the black thing back on... COULD that have been the problem??

u made sure to do it for 10 min right? that resets all your codes.

it honestly sounds like a vacuum leak. you might have bent the TB blade. its pretty easy to do.

not much could go wrong according to the pics

as long as the gasket between the intake manifold and the throttle body is seated correctly then it should be OK.

let us know if it acts up when you start it back up.

did you take the throttle body apart to paint it?

aka: removed the black housing off the blue housing?
