Does anyone happen to know if the PCM for the 2005 Chevy Cobalt SS/SC is the same exact PCM that goes into the 2006 Chevy Cobalt SS/SC ? When I look up a replacement PCM at GMpartsdirect.com it's the same exact part # for both years.

 

yea they are. 2007 is different

 

So if I were to put a 2006 PCM in my 2005 Cobalt would it flip the gas gauge ? Or would it be ok since the 06 PCM is the same one that was used in the 05 ?

 

the pcm is the same when you buy a brand new pcm, and that would come blank. its the programming that would be different for that.
