'05 SS jumping time again....

Iv had a problem with my cobalt jumping time before, and I believe it just happend again. The first time it happend I was racing a turbo dodge truck, but this time, i know I wasn't gunning it anwhere or anything. I'm hopeing to take it in tomorrow or Friday, if my schedule allows.

I was also wondering if anyone could think of anything that would have caused it, does it happen often, anything I can do to keep it from happening again?

Thanks

Yeah, my tensioner was bad, and it was my dad who fixed it. I'm sure he wouldn't put a faulty part back in my car.

It's weird though, I noticed on my boost gauge, that the needle would get stuck every now and then on my way home from work. Then when i shut my car off and turned it back on, my check engine light was on, and couldn't get boost in first gear, and only 4 or 5 in 2nd, 3-5 are alright I assume, though im hessitant to try with my car in it's current state.
