Shouldn't be the LSD when the car's between shifts (not under load).

How long does it last?

NM reread original post. You sure it's not chirping the tires?

That might make sense. Drivetrain isn't going to make a chirp/squeal sound, it's going to be more of a low-pitched grinding noise. Only culprits I could think of would be actual belt squeal (which would occur at other times as well), or something boost related.

I can imagine. We messed with a friend's tune, left boost management stock in first gear, set second gear boost to zero. Good, healthy pull, then it just fell on its face.

If you've ever seen Toy Story 2, it sounded like Wheezy with his broken squeaker.

I have this exact same problem only during no lift shift. You would think a belt would make noise more often.

HMM..we have a belt tensioner that takes up slack automatically...be surprised if it's belt slipping.
Could be the clutch itself, since he says he hears it on lifting off the clutch, which is engagement.

Stock and mine does this if I NLS too low in the RPM band. Pretty sure it has to do with the way the BPV is opening.
