1st time going in on warranty

Well, it looks like the Cobalt will be going in for a little warranty work. 22K on it so far without issue, so I'm not all that pissed off about it. If they give me the run around fixing it however, then I will be slightly more pissed off.

From what I can gather, it seems like a control arm bushing on my drivers side, but I've heard people trace this issue to the whole steering column as well. Hopefully it's not that big of a job. I'm definately getting a "thunk"ing sound going over bumps under about 25mph and there's a tad more play in my steering than I can remember. Anyone else who's had this problem, chime in, let me know what happened with it, and is there any issue at all taking it to a different dealer than where I purchased it?

They replace my steering column.
Its a TSB.
I got a slight rattling sound from the front end, especially at low speeds.
I told the dealer it sounded like a someone tapping with a screw driver handle ....dull but audible.
New column fixed it right up.

We'll see how it goes. I'm hoping it's not a steering column, because I'd like the car back sometime this year. It started doing this before it got shitty cold out (and it is by all means shitty cold), but I'll know for sure soon...

It's prolly the intermediate shaft , they replaced mine and it's been good for the last 20K miles.

But my first time in was at 7k for what GM called an over tightened wheel bearing
