2007 Cobalt SS 2.4 Suspension squeaking
Greetings all. Anyone else have this problem as this is driving me crazy. New Cobalt SS no major mechanical problems however the suspension squeaks like crazy. I have 4850km's on the vehicle. I am in Edmonton, Alberta Canada and its been cold outside in the neighborhood of -20 degrees celcius. Attributing this as a possible factor with the squeaking. Taking it to the delearship to have them have a look at it. Theres a day wasted. A new vehicle and all of the squeaking? Had a piece of junk topaz previous and it never squeaked. Anyone else have this problem and if so what di you do? Thanks.

In my experience your car will squeek for the first few miles of driving in the very cold weather. Usually after I've gone 2-3 miles everything is "warmed up" in the suspension and the squeeking goes away.

I have an 06 ss/na and also live in edmonton......my car has 14000 km on it and it squeeks like a bitch in this cold too.....something in the suspension insulators or some **** like that....it drives me nuts too.....if you get it fixed let me know what they did.....Later

My car does the squeak also, but its only coming from the front drivers side...which makes me think its my CAI pipe rubbing...it only does it when I hit dips in the road though.

It's not your CAI, from my expierence it's the control arm that causes it to squeek. My 2.4 SS/NA is squeeking as well but i haven't looked at it, but i do know it's not your cAI
