ABS light

So, I've had a problem recently with the ABS light coming on. It's weird though, because it hardly ever comes on while actually driving. The last instance happened when I was sitting still, out of gear, with both my foot on the brake and the e-brake pulled. The car is an 06 with less than 16,500 on it. Also, the car has never been put through any aggressive braking. Any ideas??

It could just be the ABS Sensor.

Mine was doing the same... it ended up being a bad hub/wheel bearing - and we didn't figure that out it until it was too late. Take it in to the Dealership and have them check it out. That's the easiest solution for you with that few of miles.

I have a similar issue right now. My ABS light comes on at seemingly random times usually involving casual breaking. It also goes out at random times. Now is there any other way to see if its the Hub/bearing assy? Any other symptoms?

Appreciate it.

That's just the way ABS works, when it detects a fault and the lights on, the abs system shuts down.
