Ahhhh! Spark plug ceramic fell into block!

Idk how the hell the ceramic at the top of my spark plug cracked .. But it did and fell throughthe hole on top of a piston.. I could see the pieces soo i got most of it out with some tape on a wire .. I had a grip of one of the bigger pieces with a claw but it fell of and now i cant see it .. Wtf r my options aside from taking the whole head off?! Pplease and thank u .

tiny mirror and a light so you can see what's left in there and possibly fish it out.

Yeah gunna try the vacuum route .. What if i started it without that spark plug in? Think it would just crush up the pieces and let it exit through the exhaust valve? Its ceramic and sould pretty much vaporize no? My biggest worry is even if it does exit thru the exhaust valve.. Could damage my turbo .. Idk i hope vacuum works

ouchie, i would have tried a little harder to vacuum that out. All those ceramic chunks can potentially damage pretty much everything from the piston/valves back

well i did get most of it out sat there for like an hour using everything i had(shop vac..claw ..and some wire with duct tape lol )..then when i started it with 3 plugs in and that one cylinder open seemed to push some more out..and ceramic crumbles pretty easily ..hence it broke without any real force..plus..after a while of trying to get it out ..**** if im going to take the whole head off its gunna be cause i have to lol .. soo it was worth a shot..and no joke..car is pulling harder then it ever has !

Mine ate one once. About 15k ago. Still runs fine, but mine didn't have a turbo to go through still. If it runs fine now just go with it.

This is where I'd use the suction unit off the ambulance at work with a catheter to suck all that stuff out lol

The piston will crush it, and it will be sent through the exhaust side, lol. Probably will score the $hit out of the cylinder. Anyway, you better hope by turning over the engine (with the plugs out) there was enough force to blow the particles out of the cylinder. Been there! Done that! I could tell you the story, but it's pretty embarrassing.
