my air bag light came on today. what hall wrong now do's any one know or can some one help me my cel light not on car run great.is there a Chance that my air bag will just go randomly

 

I doubt your airbag will just go off... more like it WONT go off if u crash now... theres a fault in the wiring somewhere i would guess... what year is it and was it raining today?

 

it a 2006 cobalt ss 2.4L auto yes it has a been raining the last few day Y


is there any recall that could be y it on

Dude. It wont go off randomly. THe light means it is disabled. so It wont go off in the event of a crash. check under the passenger seat and make sure the sensors are plugged in. that is the most common fix. there is also another connection that runs along the doors edge of the passenger seat so if you take the seat out and take up the plastic, you can get to the wire. If not, bring it in. I had a short in mine and they had to replace half the system (under warranty of course)

Would be a great help in figuring it out.

that would be great to know what code is but every time i take to dealer the what 89.99 just to look at it.and dealer i got car from whats 86.99 just to look at it so then i whent to auto part store but they do not have the compter that read air bag codes

 

i have the same crap on my car..and i took it to the dealer.. they "fix it" but for a while cuz that **** whent on again.. they told me has to do something with the passanger seat.. and is there rlly something like u said a computer that reads the air bag system? just like there is one for the engine light?
