Air Blowing on and off in Cabin, won't stop..HELP!!

O.k this problem just started last night, after I drive for a while the air comes on full blast inside my car,(it's like you turning up to 4) and when i try to turn it down to 1 or 0 on the dail, it won't do nothing. After a while the air will go back to the setting I had it at and I can control it with the dail. The heating and cooling dail works and i can turn it from cold to hot. It's just this problem keeps happening.
My question is what is the problem, and does my warrenty cover it? When I go into the dealership soon?

well, without really knowing how the heater controls work, sounds like it could be a bad connection in the knob for the fan speed controller, but then again, I'm no expert. It should be covered under warrenty, sounds like a factory defect/weak part.

Sounds like the resistor pack(for the speed control) is shorting out on you.

If when you have this problem the motor is going to high and you cant turn it off there are only two possibilities.

A: the orange wire for the blower motor is shorted to ground somewhere.

B: The control unit(knobs) is bad. Normally i would say you would feel something wrong with the speed knob, but its not necessarily going to feel broken

so when they replaced the motor the orange wire was still shorted out somewhere, how far are they going to have to look to find a short, and how long?

Um....I have no idea, depends on the tech. WOuld probably take me 15 minutes tops to determing if its the wire or control head. Other guys maybe more or less.
