I asked my friend and he said it was cuz i got a automatic car but i dont think so.....
Parking brake
It's called a "Parking Brake" for good reason. It's not designed to stop your car in an emergency or hold the car while you are accelerating and trying to spin your tires! It's designed to hold your car on a hill and there are federal standards every vehicle must meet.
Well first off what you were doing is kinda dumb.
And the reason why the e-brake isnt holing is becasue you probably havent adjusted it yet; the parking brake requires a tightening every once and a while because the cables stretch out. You can do this by removing the plastic casing and tightening the 7mm nut (i think thats the size)

The e-brake / park brake on the rear discs sucks *****, very poor design imho.
I do agree, using it for burnouts is kinda dumb - get a line lock for the rear brakes if you're serious about holding the car while spinning em up
