ATT. All Magnaflow Catback Owners

I wanted to start a thread to see how many people have a magnaflow catback and everything rusted except the resonator, tip, and muffler. If there is a good amount of people that have the catback and this problem maybe they will send us a new system or something. I paid a lot of money for this catback and didnt expect it to rust....especially since its STAINLESS!! I'll post pics when I have time to take some....Probably tomorrow, I'm stuck at college right now. I know there is at least one other member on here that has this problem.

Stainless Exhaust still rusts.... Look at the stock one, its technically stainless and it rusted... Theres nothing you can do about it and its completely normal, the exhaust will still last for 5-10 years, thats just how it works. Stuff rusts, it sucks, but it will last you a lot longer than a non-stainless one.

ok, well no one has had a cobalt for 5-10 years...

Answer: Yes, all our Cat-Back Exhaust Systems are completely made from stainless steel (except for our Titanium Performance Exhaust). Everything from the pipes, hangers, clamps, muffler and tips. *Tips, mufflers, and resonators (where applicable) are "mirror finish", polished stainless steel. Stainless steel is better looking and will never rust. Nothing looks better or lasts longer than stainless steel.
I would say that's reason enough for you to get a new one...

SS exhausts up here in Canada last between 5 and 10 years on average, usually higher for imports, lower on the domestics. Irregardless of what the website says there isnt a SS exhaust in the world that wont rust a little. Its not like your going to have a mirror finish for the life of the car, after one winter my stock exhaust tip is rusted, it just happens. Stainless steel is corrosion resistant at room temperature, but even that is arguable (I've seen enough SS exhausts in our shop come rusted out of the box) add heat and its a whole new ball game.

1) We were not talking about SS exhausts
2) It says it won't rust. It rusted. it's guaranteed for life. That means he should get a new one.
3) Irregardless is not a word

I have always put magnaflow exhaust on my cars. No rust here and no issues with the systems. The piping doesnt turn a goldish color after awhile but no rust!
