Blower went out need help.

So I was letting my car idle to warm up since I'm in England and had the heat on 4 and apparently somebody from my work went out and turned my car off while the blower was still on. I'm guessing this is why my blower went out. My question is can I fix this easily with a few bolts and a kick or does it call for more precise hands which i don't possess?

I'm not sure I understand correctly. So you were letting you car warm up and you had the fan set on 4 speed and then someone went out to your car and turned it off and now the fan is not working? If I am correct, that is no reason to why it should not be working now.

check fuse, if fuse is still good, then try and power the blower motor directly to see if the motor itself is still working. If its still working, you have a short somewhere. If it isnt working, replace it

Shouldn't affect it at all. If anything, you're blower motor would be making noise on speed 1 if it was getting close to death's door lol

my **** has been squeaking since like a month after i bought it. everytime i take it to the dealer, they say they can't hear it. even when it is loud as **** and i take them out to the car and say, do you hear that, its loud as ****. they reply...i don't hear anything at all. it only does it on speed one and two. so don't expect any help from the dealerships. i have had 3 different dealerships in 3 different states tell me this. even when my dad, who is a gm engineer, has complained about my blower motor being loud when he is riding in the car with me. WTF??

Mine was obnoxiously loud while on 1 and 2 for maybe six months when I first bought the car. Though about taking it out and seeing if I can grease something up perhaps, but just stopped over time.

Check for power at the blower motor harness. If you have juice then its the motor.

Great. Mine makes a wear noise on speed 1. My car has only 12,000 miles on it and it's not even a year old...

Even better. This is going to be fun when I take my car in to the dealer next month. And my crap gets louder as well if I start driving with it on speed 1. You can even hear it over the music

well i just ordered a new relay so ill get back to you and tell you if that fixes the problem, i can tell you though to use a voltage light and check you fuse and relay in the passenger side floor board to the left there is a panel you can pull off and there are a bunch of fuses and a fuse puller in there. the blower fuse is the very top right fuse on the fuse box and its a 10 amp. the relay is the only big black relay in the center of the fuse box. should say delphi on it but you cant check that which is stupid i think. so check the 10 amp fuse first then look under the glovebox and find the wires where the blower is they should be right on front. and use the voltage light to check for power in those lines.
